[French Interview] Les Inrockuptibles - October 1987

Note: This was actually the last Smiths-era interview Morrissey gave, and the one in which he officially announced the band’s break-up. A 25 second long audio excerpt (in English) was made available on the exclusive “Handsome Devils” French promo CD - listen here (CD rip, 256kps).

Note:Even though this is actually a Johnny Marr interview, I’m posting it here because of its historical context - this is the interview conducted by Johnny Rogan that angered Morrissey so much that he wished for Rogan to be “gobbled up by his German Shepherds”…a bit of a Freudian slip, considering it was Johnny Marr who owned two Alsatians at the time. ;)
