After years of legal disputes, NME finally issued a rather half-arsed apology to Morrissey over the “misunderstanding” regarding his December 2007 interview (which you can read here), in their 16 June 2012 issue.
The Smiths are crowned the Greatest Artist Of All Time by the NME, 20 April 2002.
In lieu of an actual interview, for this issue Morrissey presented the magazine with a series of lists, under headings such as “Thespians of the world”, “Cathode raves”, “Election promises”, “Bedside material”, “Absolutely vile”, etc. Very interesting…
